November has been a truly remarkable month for The Wine Dealer, filled with exciting milestones, special events, and meaningful gestures that have reinforced our commitment to delivering exceptional wines while also supporting the wider community.
A Thoughtful Gesture of Appreciation
One of the standout moments of the month was fulfilling a significant order from a business owner who wanted to express gratitude to their dedicated team. This thoughtful gesture included 140 bottles of wine 70 reds and 70 whites carefully selected to show appreciation in a way that only fine wine can. It was a perfect example of how wine can be more than just a beverage; it can be a heartfelt thank you, shared amongst colleagues, friends, and family.
Welcome to Louise
We’re thrilled to officially welcome Louise Wyatt to the team. Louise brings her incredible energy and passion for all things wine, and we couldn’t be more excited to have her on board. She’s set to make a fantastic impact as we continue to grow and bring you the finest wine experiences. Join us in raising a glass to Louise and this exciting new chapter for The Wine Dealer.
In addition to this, November marked the highly anticipated launch of The Wine Code, Paul’s new book designed to simplify the world of wine and make it accessible to everyone, regardless of their level of expertise. The book has been met with an enthusiastic response, and Paul has already had the chance to discuss it at various events. One such event was the BITA gathering at the Hall for Cornwall in Truro, a fantastic networking opportunity. It was a great success, with Paul not only forging new connections but also managing to sell three copies of The Wine Code during the event.
Recognising the Unsung Heroes
Our Unsung Hero Competition has also been a highlight of the month. Designed to recognise individuals who selflessly give back to their communities, the competition has already received an incredible response, with nine entrants so far. It’s inspiring to see so many people nominated for their outstanding contributions. The winner, chosen by our panel of judges, will receive a case of exceptional wines as a token of appreciation for their efforts. We can’t wait to celebrate the winner and share their story with our community.
New International Partnerships on the Horizon
We’re thrilled to announce that we’re currently in discussions with a wine company in Bulgaria about the possibility of stocking their exceptional wines. This partnership would expand our portfolio and bring some exciting new flavours to our customers. We’ll be sure to keep you updated as these plans unfold.
A Seasonal Success at Bow Village Hall Christmas Market
The festive season truly kicked off for us when Paul and Louise attended the Christmas Market at Bow Village Hall. What was initially intended as an awareness campaign turned into an unexpected sales success. Alongside promoting The Wine Code, they also showcased our newest addition to the portfolio—White Port. The response was overwhelming, with attendees thoroughly enjoying the new offering. In fact, we received orders for 12 bottles right on the spot, which was a delightful surprise. It’s clear that our White Port has found a place in the hearts of many!
Paul’s Involvement in Prestigious Events
Our founder, Paul, had the honour of attending the 12 Awards this month, an event that truly celebrates outstanding achievements across various industries. It was a particularly special occasion for Paul, as he had the privilege of presenting the Neurodiversity Award to the incredibly inspiring Heidi Slatter. The Wine Dealer proudly sponsored this category, and it was heartening to see such recognition given to an individual who has made significant strides in promoting neurodiversity.
